So last week we had a play meeting were we just sat about playing and enjoying ourselves. We had a small problem with a few of the videos that were shown. We must remember that this is a school group if you have something to show or want to so to the group we are going to start a G.O.D. Mode Video play-list for the week's meeting. You'll have til the Thursday before the meeting to contact us through the Contact us link here on the site with a link saying you would like to show this video during the game play part of the meeting. We will review it to see if it is school appropriate to show during the meeting. Please we must remember that some members are in the Middle College here at Durham Tech meaning they are actually in high school. We don't want parents of those members telling them they can't come. We do not want people getting offended by the videos we show.
Alright fall fest went over nicely. We did have a few problems that we must work on for the next time. The flyers for the drawing didn't go through so the results of the drawing wasn't as big as it could have been. Second we need to work on making sure people did what they signed up for. I understand that the put off of fall fest might have upset how you were going to do things you still need to come to us and inform us of such things. The third thing we will work on is getting more sign ups. We did great on the gaming table but not many people actually signed up. So we need to get together on this next time we started out great lets just follow through next time.
Alright for who doesn't know already fall fest had been put off until Wednesday Nov. 4 same time and place we are hoping that everything comes out great. It will be fun so please join us there it'll be between 12:30 to 5:30 so come out and say hi!
The proposed changes to the Gamers of Durham constitution will take place two weeks from today on October 30, 2009. The changes to the constitution are as follows:
Article VII
Election of Officers
Section 1: Nominations and applications for Executive Officers shall be made at the first business meeting of the first full month of classes in a given semester (September, February) with the exception of Summer. Nominations and applications may also be made by contacting the club Secretary in writing. Elections are to be held no sooner than two weeks (14 days) after nominations.

Animazement Update
Here is the update:
1. We have 120 bucks for the room! We need someone to cover the other 80 bucks and they can be reimbursed. You must let me know asap!
2.People at meeting at the convention center at 6pm for the precon on Thursday. Anyone needs a ride state it now so transportation details can be worked out.
3. Bring your swim gear! There are pools at the hotels so if you want to step away and dunk in some cool water for abit you can.
4. All you duelist out there, bring your decks. There will be duelist there. It a good time to play some new peeps and get some trades as well.
First off, we've got fund raising.
The Current fund raiser plan is to be holding tournaments in various games every 2 weeks. Winner takes half the pot. We need three things for this: systems, games, and people to get the word out. For more info on how you can help, contact the President or Myself (The webmaster). If we do this regularly we could make a lot of money and have a whole lot of fun in the process.
Next, what we did today.
All of us who attended G.O.D. Mode today went of a field trip to Sci-fi Genre (on Old Chapel Hill Road off Martin Luther King Jr.). We looked around, talked to the staff, and used the tables in the back to play Flux and Munchkin. In my personal opinion, this store is AWESOME, they've even got public Wi-Fi for people who want to host an impromptu LAN party, or surf the web or whatever.
